MadeYours (“we,” “our,” or “us”) provides a personalized digital gift planning service. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and protect your personal information when you use our website and services.

2. Information We Collect

When you use MadeYours, we may collect the following information:

• Email address — to identify your plan and help recover it if you lose access.
• Quiz answers — including who the gift is for, your relationship, the occasion, desired feeling, gift style, recipient description, story or context, what to avoid, budget, and urgency.
• Usage data — pages visited, time on site, and interaction events, collected via analytics tools (future: TikTok Pixel, GA4).

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

• Generate your personalized gift plan based on your answers.
• Send you plan access links and recovery information.
• Improve our product and user experience.
• Respond to customer support inquiries.

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for their own marketing purposes.

4. Data Storage

In the current MVP, your quiz answers and plan data are stored in your browser's local storage (localStorage and sessionStorage). This means your data stays on your device and is not transmitted to our servers for long-term storage. Some plan data is temporarily sent to our server for backup purposes when you begin checkout, so we can help you recover your plan if you lose browser access.

When server-side storage is introduced in a future phase, we will update this policy to reflect how your data is retained and protected.

5. Cookies and Analytics

We plan to use cookies and analytics services (TikTok Pixel, Google Analytics) to understand how users interact with our site and to measure the effectiveness of our marketing. These tools may collect anonymized usage data such as page views, clicks, and conversion events.

Analytics tracking is not yet active in the current phase.

6. Payment Information

Payments are processed through external hosted checkout providers. MadeYours does not directly collect, store, or have access to your full credit card number or banking details. The external payment provider may collect and process your payment information according to their own privacy policy.

When mock checkout mode is active, no real payment is processed and no payment information is collected.

7. Data Retention

In the current phase, data retained on our servers is limited to lead backup records (your quiz draft and email) sent when you begin checkout. These are used for plan recovery and support purposes. Long-term retention policies will be established when server-side storage is fully introduced.

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or port your personal data. To exercise these rights, please contact us. We will respond within a reasonable timeframe.
